how to use breadboard

Here are the simple techniques which will help you on how to use breadboard and also the meaning of motherboard.

MEANING OF BREADBOARD

Breadboard are the easiest alternative for soldering and circuits design and it can also called motherboard.

HOW BREADBOARD WORKS

1.The Roles going down are electrically common. (that means they are connected together)
2.The Columns are not electrically common.(which means that they are not connected together).
Note: To connect two columns together, you have to use a Jumper cables or wire which you can see in the figure below.

3. The two port at the first and last body of the breadboard with RED and BLUE are used for power like their are used as the source
Hence, it’s where you can connect your power supply or source which has negative(BLUE) and positive(RED).

NOTE: Before you do any work on breadboard you need to use your jumper wire.

MEANING OF JUMPER CABLES OR WIRE USED IN MOTHERBOARD

Jumper Wires are Breadboard compatible wire that allows you to make your connections on the breadboard.
For the cause of this training, we will focus on the LED using motherboard.
Here we want to see how LED is being connected on the breadboard using 5v as the power source with arduino.
Note: Before connecting your LED on the motherboard, firstly you check the terminal of the LED to identify the positive and negative, which are identified by; the side with longer leg is the positive why the Side with short leg Is the negative and also the flat.

HOW TO CONNECT LED ON BREADBOARD

1.Connect the long leg of the LED on one column port, and the short leg on the other column and then connect one leg of 1k Resistor to the negative leg of your LED and the other leg of your Resistor to the negative of the power source.
2.Connect the positive of the LED to the power source using a jumper wire.
Note: When the power enters the circuit, it will first flow through the negative leg of the Resistor and enter into the negative of the LED and ignite the LED and the continuous to flow to the positive and then back to the source.
3. You can carry out the steps above to add other LEDS in the circuit.
Hence, ensure that you connect your Resistor to the negative of the LED.

Conclusion:

Motherboard is a solder less circuit or board design use to carry out electrically wiring without soldering.
